California: Additional Access to Case Mountain Important to Hunters and Target Shooters

The Bakersfield Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will be hosting a public information meeting on July 9 in Three Rivers to discuss progress on the opportunity the BLM has to acquire additional lands and public access to the Case Mountain area.  The workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Three Rivers Memorial Building, 43490 Sierra Drive.

Ohio: Senate Committee to Take Public Comment on Important Right-to-Carry Confidentiality Legislation this Wednesday

This Wednesday, June 19, the Senate Criminal Justice Committee will be taking testimony on legislation to further protect the confidentiality of Concealed Handgun License (CHL) holders, Senate Bill 60.  This important hearing will start at 9:00 a.m. in the North Hearing Room of the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus.

Maine: State Senate to Reconsider Important Permitless Carry Legislation Tomorrow

Today, the Maine Senate killed important permitless carry legislation, LD 660, on a party-line vote.  However, this measure will be reconsidered by the Maine Senate tomorrow, giving LD 660 another opportunity to advance in the legislative process.  If passed and enacted into law, LD 660 would allow a person who is a resident of Maine and is not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing a firearm, to carry concealed without first obtaining a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP).
