Florida: EMERGENCY ALERT: House Members Need to hear from you NOW

Yesterday, the Florida Senate voted 20 to 18 to pass a bill that punishes law-citizens for the actions of a mentally deranged criminal who murdered 17 people after repeated warnings were ignored by officials in Florida.  THE REASON THE GUN CONTROL BILL SB-7026 PASSED?  Senate leadership strong-armed enough Senators to vote in favor of the bill, despite hearing from gun owners across Florida that passing gun control would do nothing to secure our schools or fix our broken mental health system.

Unfortunately, those arguing for the tightest restrictions on firearms often know the least about what they are hoping to legislate. Here’s a good example.

Could this tiny picture get an 11-year-old boy expelled from school?

WISN-AM host Vicki McKenna reported the story out of Wisconsin last week: An 11-year-old boy named Matthew, who attends an online school through Wisconsin Virtual Learning, was asked to remove a picture of a gun from his digital profile, and his mother is now worried that he’ll be expelled over his Second Amendment enthusiasm.

Woman defends herself from burglar, WTVD, Raleigh, N.C. 08/07/14

Paige Ham was inside her home in Goldsboro, N.C. when she noticed that the lock had been taken off a storage shed in her back yard. Ham retrieved a gun and went to investigate. While she was investigating, a man came out of the shed and moved towards her. Ham responded by shooting the burglar.
According to news reports, the thief’s condition is not life-threatening. Additionally, Wayne County Sheriff’s officials have made clear that Ham will not be charged.
